Welcome to our quirky, homely, traditional, grade II listed Cornish Cottage built into the side of the Penally Hill with a large south-facing garden with terraces providing wonderful views over the village and along the Valency Valley.
Ideally situated in the heart of Boscastle on one of its most beautiful iconic streets, the scenic River Valency is at one end of the Row with its views to the Elizabethan harbour, and the village at the other with its pubs, restaurants, cafés and shops.
A perfect all-year-round base close to pretty swimming beaches, spectacular surfing or many top tourist destinations. It is wonderful walking country with breathtaking coastal walks, spiritual woodland valley walks or wild moorland adventures many of which can start from outside the Cottage’s front door.
Or take advantage of the beautiful surrounding area, super-high-speed broadband and calming surroundings to get away from the office for a while.
The Cottage
As soon as you walk into the spacious, homely, living room with its welcoming wood stove and plenty of comfortable seating, you immediately feel relaxed. There is a 43″ smart ultra HD Samsung television and BT super-fast fibre broadband for your entertainment as well as a selection of books and traditional games.
The cottage sleeps four and has a large master bedroom with a full kingsize bed and a smaller second bedroom with two single beds. All have luxury mattresses to ensure your stay refreshed during your stay.
The stunning private terraced gardens offers superb views and is the perfect place to sit and relax, maybe watch the sun go down or enjoy something to eat from one of the nearby stores selling the best quality local produce.
We have have a modern fully equipped kitchen with dining area and bathroom with a P-shaped bath and shower.
Location
The cottage is Grade II listed in a Conservation Area, a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the garden backs onto a National Trust owned nature conservation Site of Special Scientific Interest. Or, to put it another way: a stunning location!
Within a short walk you have the Elizabethan Harbour and views out to sea, the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, National Trust gift shop and café, the coastal path, riverside cafés and restaurants, pubs, shops selling local produce, takeaways, and galleries.
Just 4 miles down the coast is Tintagel Castle famous for its dramatic scenery and links to the legend of King Arthur. There are some wonderful nearby beaches too for swimming, surfing or watching the sunset from a beachside pub including Trebarwith Strand and Crackington Haven both only 6 miles away. Also close-by are Port Isaac (14 miles) and Padstow (25 miles), both ports full of character and Michelin star restaurants.
